Dentists often tell us that the longer we brush and the more we floss, the more pearly white our smiles will get. Many of us have spent a pretty penny on at-home teeth whitening kits and even invested in brightening our smile through the new fancy machines at the dentist office. While those methods do work, tooth whitening in particular can be pricey – and, it takes time to see the results! In our grab-and-go society, we need to save all the time and money possible while still looking our best and feeling confident in our own skin. So if you’re looking for a way to get that picture perfect smile, here’s a simple tip that may surprise you: Try lipstick!
While some lipstick shades can give your teeth a yellowish undertone, there are others that can help you enhance your smile’s luster. Here are a few colors that you can try to make your teeth appear white and bright, while keeping money in your pocket (All products linked to pictures below):
1. Ravishing Reds. It’s a bright, bold color that may not be everyone’s cup of tea – but it definitely does the trick! The beautiful thing about red lipstick is that there are countless shades to pick from which will suit your complexion and comfort levels. Be daring by trying an apple-red or tone it down with a dark cherry shade – just stay away from the orangey/yellow-toned lipsticks and you’re good to go!
